I contacted our technical heads to know about it (<em>We surely have smart technical brains to answer almost<\/em><em> all the<\/em><em> questions<\/em>)<\/p>\n<h2>How to calculate supplemental index ratio?<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to google and search for site:yoursite.com , example <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&amp;q=site%3Ameabhi.com&amp;btnG=Google+Search\">google.com\/search?q=site%3Ameabhi.com<\/a> .. It says <strong>36 results<\/strong> (<em>This includes all the pages regular and supplemental<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li> Now do site:yoursite.com\/* example <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&amp;q=site%3Ameabhi.com%2F*&amp;btnG=Search\">google.com\/search?q=site%3Ameabhi.com%2F*<\/a> (<strong>It says 8<\/strong>, this is the regular pages only) OR even you do a search in aol for site:yoursite.com <a href=\"http:\/\/search.aol.com\/aol\/search?invocationType=topsearchbox.search&amp;query=site%3Ameabhi.com\">search.aol.com\/aol\/search?query=site%3Ameabhi.com<\/a> (<strong><em>It also says 8<\/em><\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li> Now <strong>(36-8)\/36 = 28\/36 = 77%<\/strong> is the supplement index ratio for meabhi.com, which may be quite high.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><font size=\"6\">OR<\/font><\/p>\n<p>You can use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mapelli.info\/tools\/supplemental-index-ratio-calculator\/?domain=www.meabhi.com\">mapelli.info\/tools\/supplemental-index-ratio-calculator\/?domain=www.meabhi.com<\/a> (<em>this says 75% but it might be some other datacenter for the total indexed pages as it says index pages = 32 instead of 36<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplement pages are not all that bad these days<\/strong> but still you can get a better ratio.
